YksTKUUAY morning, on going to the oilieo at the Ihitaiiuia Mine, the manager found the door had been burst open and a large strong box carried away bodily. The'box was found a quarter of a mile further up the gul y iii an old drive. The supposition is that the thieves iu.ae.incd specimens were contained in the box, but they were disappointed, as it contained nothing but papers and plans belonging to the manager, which were left untouched.
