SMALL BOYS AND CRACKERS
To Till-: FIUTOK. Silt,- This la.-t week or so I notice many small boys about the town liring Chinese crackers', much to the annoyance of emblem- an 1 pedestrians. This is not the only trouble!, the -real fear being the possibility of some of the wooden buildings about catching lire. Yesterday afternoon, I believe, some shingles on Ihe roof oi a stable in town ignited through the careless throwing of crackers by children. As this is a matter in which the police have power to act, I II est it will nnt be wholly ignored by them and tiie parents.—l am, etc., (.'I'lT/.r.N. Hamilton, September JOth, lliilli.
