WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.

TilK ordinary meeting and the last of the present Council met yesterday in the Council Chambers, Hamilton Hast. Present : Messrs Primrose (chairman), Furze, Gordon, Mcurs, Seddon, Thomas, and Bailey.

Komokohau Bkidge, No. I.—Or. Cordon handed in a letter from Mr Worthington in reference to No. 1 Bridge, Komokorau. Mr Worthington had examined the bridge at the request of Cr. Cordon, and reported that it required sundry repairs, and that the bridge had taken a cant down stream. Cr, Cordon had made a calculation that the timber required for tiie necessary repairs would cost about £4O, —It was agreed to call tenders for the work, Mr Worthington and Cr. Gordon to draw the specifications, the latter to receive the tenders. Jeyfkey's Bkiimjk. -Cr. Meats reported that this bridge required repairs. —lt was arranged that Cr. .Meats should examine the bridge and report particulars. Disqualified Ratkiwykks. The Clerk reported that 2.">0 ratepayers are disqualified from voting at ttie coining e'ection for not having paid t'ac'r rates at all, or not having paid before 00th June last. Elections.—The Clerk and Ileturniiig CHlicor was authorised to carry out the election of councillors to the Council.
