Tub conversazione and sale of work in connection with the above church in the Cambridge Public Hull was continucil on Wednesday, and as there was a quantity of work unsold at the close of the day, it was resolved to open again on Thursday evening. The Cambridge orchestra pcrfonned each day, and on Wednesday evening it was strengthened by the addition of Mr.J M Hiiro, of Hamilton, the well-known cornet player, who delighted the audience with his solos, " The Song That Peached My Heart " and Sullivan's " Lost: Chord." The hitter was accompanied by orchestra, piano and organ, and was the gem of the evening- Mrs Daw ard Miss Garland were the voeaiisls. They acquitted themselves splendidly, and were both loudly applauded. The hitter sang a song composed by Miss Wilson, of Cambridge, who played the accompaniments. On Thursday evening very few attended, and the gathering resolved into a sort of " frcu and easy," in which everyone took a turn in helping to amuse the others. Wc understand the whole of the caking* amount to about 170, ami subscriptions and gifts to another L''J - .!. The expenses will be from L'l-J to Cl.">, so the church will benelil to the extent of Irom L'7o to L'SO, which will reduce the debt upon the church by half.
