GENERAL GORDON LODGE,
An opening tt eet of the above lodge of the 1.0.G.T., was held iu the Oldfellows' Hall, Cambridge, when the building was comfortibly filled. The chair was taken by Ensign Harvey, of the Salvat'on Army, and the following programme was very successfully negotiated :- An Addiess, Chairman ; piano trio, JMis.cs Brooks (2) and Stone ; acton chorus, "Oh I The sports ol Childhood," girls; song, " Killarney,"' Miss Garland ; table, ux, " Caught "and 11 Under the Mist'etoc " ; piano solo, Mr ]'. Brcnnan ; song, '■Marguerite," Miss Miller ; recitation, '■ L ttlo May," Mi's Eva Mefarlane ; action song, " Stitch, Stitch,'' girls ; dialogue, " Susie's Mistake," Misses E. McMahon and F. Btockcls'y. The whole of the items were well rendered, but the action songs and Miss M eFarlane's recitation deitrve special mention. These " open meet ings " are becoming quite an in-titution in Cambridge, and are look forward to by many.
