AUSTRALIAN J.C. MEETING. Tiik above meeting opened on Saturday, with glorious weather and a good attendance. The principal event was : The A.J.C. Entering the straight, Charge took comma.id but Avhen fairly on the run home the favourite coming with a fast run put in a decided challenge, every inch of the way being fought out desperately. The Carbine colt, however, was equal to the occasion, and maintaining his advantage to the finish, swept past the post a head in front of the favourite.
