The Ninth Lancers have left England for tho Cape. News has been received that fighting has occured between the Brazilians and ritalians at San Paulo. Several were killed and forty injured. Italy is likely to send a warship and withdriw the legation. H.M.S. Tribune, which has been utthched to the Chatham Station, is being refitted prior to being commissioned for the Australian Station.
Mr. Borcbgrevinck starts on an Antarctic expedition next year. ThoDolconth Mining Company of New .Zealand, with a capital of £150,000, is being issued, the whole of tho shares being offered to the public.
