Endurance riders' report

In December six members of the Karioi Endurance Club travelled to Palmerston North to compete in an 80 km endurance ride.

The ride covered farmland, forest and sandhills and was enjoyed by all who took part. Three of the riders from Karioi qualified and they were: L. Cadwallader riding Champayne: time 3 hours 34 minutes 1st equal. L. Albert riding Sky Fox: time 3 hours 34 minutes 1st equal. J. Morris riding Flemings Fari: time 4 hours 2 minutes. One member travelled to Taumaranui to compete in a 130 km over

three days. The country was very steep and, because of heavy rain, very slippery. Jeff Morris riding Flemings Fari qualified in 8 hours 20 minutes gaining 5th place. Two members travelled to Palmerston North at the end of January to compete in an 80 km ride. The results were: L. Cadwallder riding Champayne: time 5 hours 45 minutes, 1st place.
