Draft Waimarino scheme to be discussed
Waimarino councillors have received the draft review of the district's planning scheme and will discuss the scheme at a special meeting on Wednesday, February 8. Cr Bruce Thompson said at last week's full council meeting that the scheme, which is an amalgamation of the schemes of the previous Raetihi Borough, Ohakune Bor-
ough and the Waimarino County, was very different to the cxisting scheme. He said it was very important that at as many councillors as possible be at the
February meeting to discuss the scheme. The closing date for public submissions on the scheme is April 7, and further submissions will subsequently be called for.
