Situation : A large anticyclone over the Tasman sea is moving onto the country and should maintain fine weather in many areas through Tuesday. On Wednesay a trough is expected to move onto the country bringing scattered rain to the far north. The rain should become more wide spread late in the week. Forecast: Fine at first with light winds. Mild north easterlies freshening Wednesday and scattered rain developing. Rain becoming more wide spread Thursday.
