NO RATES REMISSION

A request for a rates remission from the Popotea 2B Trust was turned down by the Waimarino Finance and Administration Committee at their last meeting. The Trust had applied for the remission on the grounds that the land will be used for educational purposes. Councillors were advised that rates remission before the land was being used for educational purposes was premature. The committee decided to wait until the education use was implimented before considering the matter.
