Situation : A cold front across the South Island on Monday, most of the North Island on Tuesday. This front is preceeded by a moist north west airstream followed by south westerlies. A southerly change is expected to spread over New Zealand on Wednesday and early Thursday followed by a large intensifying anticyclone. Forecast: Cloudy mild weather today with a few showers and fresh north westerlies. Occasional rain from tonight. Winds becoming light tomorrow afternoon. The outlook for Wednesday light winds, a few afternoon showers.
