Walk from Ohakune to Ketetahi

A 65 kilmetre walk, with 10 kids, in stormy weather. Sound like fun? Well, to this group it was!

The trip was organised by Mr Melody. The efforts from everyone in the group was great and nearly everyone made it. The day before starting off Mr Melody went up to Waihohanu to make a food dump so it would be easier on the backs. The walk started at Ohakune and went along to Whakapapa and journeyed in and out of huts and tents, to Ketetahi. At the Mangaturuturu River the group were held up for half a day waiting for the river to

go down before crossing. All-in-all everyone had a great time.
