Tasting food highlight of dental week

Highlight of the recent dental health week at Ruapehu College was voted as being the sugar free snacks tasting. The Waimarino dental nurses say they have a number of people to thank for their success, including home economics teacher Fiona McEwing for her fine efforts in preparing snacks. Flavoured m i lk , which was supplied by the M ana w atu M i 1 k Company, was rated highly among the students. Cheese tasting was a new experience for some but it still proved popular. Cheese samples were supplied

by the Tui Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Pahiatua. The programme for the week was co-ordi-nated by Ruapheu Col-

lege teacher Cath Day, and thanks also go to the college principal and staff for their friendly help and support.

The nurses say they are also grateful to the Ohakune Butchery and the Raetihi Foodmastei; for their generosity. Robin, Jenny and

Kate say they enjoyed their week with the staff and pupils of Ruapehu College and feel it was a very worthwhile exercise.
