Plea for funds for life
A King Country farming family with Waimarino connections needs $150,000 and Lions Clubs are helping them get it. The money is needed for a liver transplant for farmer Eddie Alcock, who has bctin suffering from an incurablc liver disease
for ihe past tcn ycars. Without ihe transplant he would be cxpected to livc just a few years. Eddie is married to Dianne, who is well known to many people in the Waimarino. Her father lived on Middle Road for many years.
So far the Lions have raised $97,800 to send Eddie to Australia for the operation but they still need more. The total cost is about $150,000. Donations can b e sent to the Edward Alcock Transplant Appeal, P.O. Box 272, Te Kuiti.
