Good news please

I am writing in reference to the 1 o c a 1 speech competitions. How can you justify giving an article which reads "who did not wish to be named" and "was not available for comment" precedence over the actual results which did not feature until page six? Your front page article was not researched, aiming only to provoke ill-feeling within the community. No mention was made of the positive comments made by the Judge about the speaker. For the past two years I have regularly tried to have your paper publish true accurate reports of positive things worthwhile groups have done in

this community, only to find, once again two page reports of negative court news featured and our articles shelved until they are so old it is embarrassing. If you call yourself the "Voice of the Ruapehu Region" please represent a wider section of the community.

Mary i

Parsons

Mrs Parsons, please let me apologize, yet again, for the problems we have encountered in the past in publishing your group's contributions. Reports on a n y Waimarino, Waiouru or National Park sports or community group activities continue to be welcome for consideration for publication in the Bulletin and the Waiouru Empty Page. Editor.
