Pony club news
Raetihi Pony club held a training day on Sunday, November 6 in rather wet conditions. Keen local riders were joined by a few hardy visitors and results were as follows: Event 1, up to 60cms: 1st Jane Wickham, 2nd Sally Williams, 3rd Vicki Pearson. Event 2, up to 80cms: 1st Emma Cornwall, 2nd Katrina Wilson, 3rd Rachel James. Event 3, up to 60cms: 1st Jane Wickham, 2nd Sally Williams, 3rd Melanie Mitchell. Event 4, up to 80cms: 1st Trudi Allerby, 2nd Katrina Wilson, 3rd Emma Cornwall.
Event 5, up to 95cms: 1st Cindy Langdon, 2nd Julie Pearson, 3 r d Amanda Howie. Event 6, up to 105 cms: 1st Rodney McCoubrie, 2nd Cindy Langdon, 3rd Heather Montgomery. Event 7, up to 95cms: 1st Rachel Duigan, 2nd Julie Pearson, 3rd Sharon Wagstaff. Event 8, up to 105cms: 1st Heather Montgomery, 2nd Rodney McCoubrie, 3rd Janine Mcllroy. A number of local riders are to compete in Ongarue next Sunday, and the following weekend will be a busy one with an open dressage competition o n Saturday, November 19 followed by a gamblers cross country event on Sunday, November 20, to be held at Roke's "Otiranui" property, Lakes Road, Ohakune.
