SPECIAL PRIZES: THE DUX AWARD: Awarded to the student who has attained the highest academic standard in 1988 - Helen Burgess LOFTUS SHIELD: For services to the College. This award covers general example and reliability in all fields academic, social and sporting. The recipient has had an active involvement in all these fields during her five years at school, with representation at regional level in netball and speech making. As a leader of the cultural group she has led our school group in various parts of New Zealand and Australia. On many occasions
