TWO-WEEK TORTURE
How would you feel if you hadn't been to the dentist for, oh, lots of years and then acquired an appointmcnt card? Ohakune Primary School teacher Sue Murdie, who should know better than to leave off going to the dentist for such an incrediblc length of time, was prcparing herself for an appointment last Thursday. Being terrified of what dentists are supposed to do to you (according to those ancient myths, from a time long ago, when Sue last went to one) Sue was dreading it all week. Thursday came and she was seen shaking in her shocs, puffing madly, generally terrified. She went home, careful not to eat anything and cleancd her teeth in between breaths (almost). THEN she found out - her appointment isn't until this week. ARRRGHHH!!! Talk about torture! Honest Mrs Murdie, a visit to the dentist isn't as bad as it was back in the middle ages!
