Farm tractor 100 years old

Next year is the 100th year of the farm tractor. To commerate this milestone in the history of New Zealand the Waikato Vintage Tractor And Machinery Club will be holding a major vintage tractor and machinery display. This will be in conjunction with the 1989 Agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. The display will start from Cambridge with a 200 tractor cavalcade, driving to the Mystery Creek site. There will be practical demonstrations of tractors, farm machinery, stationary engines, steam traction engines, static displays and the North Island vintage tractor pull championships. People with vintage tractors, machinery or engines made prior to 1956, or those who would just like to participate in the display are invited by organisers to do so. Write to K.
