FIERY BLACKMAILER?
An up-until-now respectable motor trade employee, fireman and district councillor threatened the Waimarino District Council at a recent committee meeting. The council had been asked to once again pay for the $50 vehicle registration of the old Raetihi Fire engine which is mostly only used for parades. Councillor Summerhays suggested the council ipprove the payment "or we won't put your fires out!" The committee then enthusiastically approved thf>. navmmtl Fair p.nmiph tnn.
