SMOKE DETECTORS FOR PENSIONER FLATS
Smoke detectors have been installed in the Ohakune pensioner flats and should be installed in the Raetihi flats, the Waimarino works committee heard at their last meeting. Councillor John Compton suggested they be installed in the Raetihi pensioner flats, if not all council properties. Most, if not all councillors agreed that the idea was sound. The suggestion came after a discussion on the council's insurance policies.
