RIVER FEES STILL NOT SET
Department of Conservation officials and Wanganui River commercial users were yet to agree on the user fees at the time the Bulletin went to print last week. The two parties had met and had discussed the proposed increase in fees, some by 900 per cent. DoC were to look at "one or two areas... for adjustments." The operators were waiting for a reaction from DoC after the meeting last week.
