FISHING REPORT
Lake Taupo fishing has generally been hard with best success occurring at the southern end around Stump Bay and the Delta. There is little evidence of smelting yer and most fish are still being taken on lead lines. Rivers: Fishing is
hard with few fresh fish present. Tailrace: Fishing is starting to improve as the smelt become more abundant in the tailrace. Lake OtamengkaU: Fishing for the opening of the season was hard although conditions did not make angling easy.
