Remember the old days when doctor's house calls were common? Well those days are back in the Waimarino, for your car that is. Precision engineer Barrie Boyle, or "The Car Doctor" advertises that he wili fix your car at your home. The work he does is minor mechanical repairs and maintenance, oii changes, tune ups, brake overhauls, water pump work and valve grinds. "The emphasis is on diagnosis of problems," says Barrie. He says he actually uses a stethoscope in his repair work, to listen to engines so that he can find problems. In the past Barrie has worked as plant services manager for Turoa Skifields, looking after the ski field water system, vacuum system, diesel power generators and snow making.
