Waimarino Squash Club champs
Waimarino Squash Club championship competitions were held over the weekend of September 9 and 10 along with an internal tournament for those who "bombed out" of club champioriships. The ladies club
champion title went to Arona Irwin with Vicki Pearce being the bridesmaid again. In the men's club champs Stuart Fowlie had to get out and work hard for the top title against Garrick Workman - who like Vicki has becn bridesmaid for
a few years running. This is the first club championships Stuart has played in and he had rcally proved to his workmates that he is fairly good. Results of the Internal tournament: Division One - winner Tige Todd, runner-
up Bowman, Plate "Ernie" McGohan, special plate N. Veale, consolation M . Williams. Division Two - winner D. McDonnell, run-ner-up Chris Hawira, plate Carol Lcary, special plate Jim Dobson, consolation plate Lesley Todd. Division Three - winner Craig Wiggins, runner-up Sue Pearson, plate Jim Corbett, special plate Mary Crave, consolation I a n Forster. Division Four - winner Donna Herewini, runner-up Mana Moana, plate Dianna Mcllwrick, special plate Girl Munn, consolation Ainsley Swain. Division Five Round robin winner Daniel Siddells, runnerup John Rodgers. Division Six - Round
robin winner Tara Todd, runner-up Delia Siddells. The points for
leagucs were won by B. McGahan in the mens and Pearl Brown for the ladies. Most improved
senior play went to Robcrt Brown and Rhys Langdon for the juniors.
