Boaf salvaged A party of four Wellington hunters j whose boat sunk while moor^d at Tieke Hut, 19 kilometres upriver from the Pipiriki Ranger Station recently, returned last weekend to salvage the vessel. The hunters and a group of friends travelled up the Wanganui River on Saturday for the salvage operation. Hand winches were used to help refloat the boat, which had been swamped when heavy rain caused the river to rise four metres in a matter of hours. The men managed to pump the water from the boat that turned out to be undamaged from the incident.
