Fashions on show in Ohakune this Sunday
A big part of winter and snow nowadays is fashion, and this idea is supported by three Ohakune people who have organised a fashion show for Sunday. Tracy Duffy, Daniel Greenwood and Marguerite Greenwood are behind the Turoa Winter Fashion '88 show at Hot Lava on Sunday August 28. Fashions that will be worn by both professional models and local women are from local ski and fashion shops. Jackie Wilde and Julie Greenwood from Ohakune will accompany seven profes-
sional models from Auckland and Hawkes Bay. Tracy has organised the models for the evening, and has some of her fashions o n show. She has had clothes in the Benson & Hedges awards and was a finalist in this year's competition. Marguerite has organised the local side of things, liaising with the Ohakune shops which feature in the show. Her own shop, "Collections", previously Factory Fashions, will supply clothes. Daniel has been
working on the technical side of the evening. Clothes from Ragtime, George Edward, Ski Rack, Ski Shed, Powderhorn, New Sensations, Junction Ski Shop, Collections will be included. plus some designed by Tracy Duffy. The inimitable Video Bill has been procured as master of ceremonies for the night. Turoa Skifields have sponsored the evening. Tickets are available from the above mentioned shops as well as Turoa Information Centre.
