Situation: The south to southwesterly flow over New Zealand should ease on Friday but freshen for a time on Saturday/. An anti-cyclone is expected to speed onto New Zealand during the weekend. A northwesterly flow should spread onto the South Island late Sunday and Mondy. Forecast: On Friday and Saturday fine apart from isolated showers about the ranges, cold southerly winds, fresh at times. On Sunday fine with light winds. On Monday cloudy northerlies developing.
