Child's ski pass price lowered
Turoa Skifields, have reduced the price of a child's ski pass in a move to attract larger family groups to the mountain. From last Tuesday a child's full-day lift pass costs $18 including GST, a reduction of $8. A child's half-day pass now costs $13 including GST, a saving of $5.50. Turoa marketing manager Andy Chapman said the ticket price reductions were a policy decision to attract larger family groups
with a more competitive price structure. "It's always been our policy to keep a close eye on the market. Turoa is particularly well suited to family groups but we're aware that many families are being affected by the economic downturn." Mr Chapman said Turoa has been active in encouraging secondary and tertiary students to ski by offering a special Student Ski Card pass for $29 including GST - 25 per cent cheaper than the full-day pass rate. Children under 5 years of age ski free.
