Narcs bring skis on winter tour
The NARCS are back on the road with a major seven week winter tour of New Zealand which takes in the Chateau T Bar and Hot Lava. Always popular as live performers, the band are playing a mixture of old favourites and new material from their forthcoming album. They will also feature their new hit single "It's Got To Be Love" which received a fantastic response at its premiere launching on Telethon.
The tour kicked off in the South Island on July 15 and will end up back in Auckland in the first week of September. This promises to be a tour with a difference. The NARCS have chosen to perform in many alternative venues that would not usually get to see a band of their calibre. "We want to get our music to as many people as possible," says
lead singer Andy Dickson. "By keeping our costs down we can keep the door charges down. We can also play at some different venues for a change and see some new faces - It's going to be great!" The fact that July-Au-gust-September is ski season and that the tour just 'happens' to be playing at many venues which are centred around some of N e w Zealands finest ski
fields is "purely coincidental" says the band. Area manager for
Hcrtz, Neil Calder, wouldn't comment on the ski rack and chains being installed on The
Narcs rental vehicle! As Andy Dickson said ... "It's going to b e great.
