A&P Soc plans Spring ball

The Waimarino A&P Show is running a spring ball on September 17, 1988 in the Ohakune Primary School Hall. Last years show was rated the best for years

because the Community supported the day with stalls and events and made it far more interesting for townsfolk. The A&P Show decided to hold a ball at the end of the Ohakune winter festive weeks. The aim is a low-cost ball with very little profit. It could become an annual event if successful. Music will be from the Maungarongo Marae Music group who were very much a part of the show in February. Supper will be put on by Plunket ladies

who are by now experts at this work. Over the years the A & P Show has dropped in interest for the townspeople. The horse section is very strong, faimers sheep and cattle classes reasonably well supported, but the general public have become bored. The present committee have made a change, with a lot of help from the Army. "Anyone is welcome to set up stalls o r provide entertairtrnent - whatever it is you like to do, come to the Show next February and share it with everyone," says secretary Bernice Frost. For inquiries about the A&P Show Spring Ball ring Bernice Frost, 54-691.
