Mitsubishi back NZ team
Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ltd, is sponsoring the New Zealand Ski Team, which will compete in the BP Europa F.I.S. series. The company's Managing Director Mr Denford McDonald says the involvement of Mitsubishi Motors in such a major outdoor activity is a natural one. "Not only have we already had an involvement in skiing by the sponsoring of the Mit-
subishi Motors ski tips series on television, but also the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation was a major sponsor and the official vehicle supplier to the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics". Mr McDonald said a feature of the sponsorship would be the team's involvement with the company's four wheel drive range of vehicles. A Mitsubishi Pajero and Mitsubishi L300 sportpac four wheel drive will be
the official vehicles of the Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ski Team. "Mitsubishi Motors have been manufacturing four wheel drive vehicles since 1934 and they have a worldwide reputation. Mitsubishi has placed considerable emphasis on research and development of four-wheel drive particularly in the world's major endurance rallies. This rally-bred technology has resulted in a line up of four wheel drive vehicles
. I including the Mitsubishi Pajero, the Mitsubishi Lancer station wagon and four, wheel drive versions of the Mitsubishi L200 and Mitsubishi L300". "This sponsorship gives us an exciting opportunity to ensure that New Zeakmders are aware of the range of products. Two vital characteristics of the members of the Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ski Team are their striving for excellence and their
rugged individuality. We believe these attributes are well reflected in our product range." The manager of the New Zealand ski team Mr Adrian Farnsworth, said the New Zealand Ski Association warmly welcomed the Mitsubishi Motors sponsorship." "We have, in fact, been choosing Mitsubishi L300 four wheel drives as our hire vehicles in Europe. "
