Situation: A front moved north east over country on Monday, followed by a south westerly flow. On Tuesday and Wednesday an anticyclone should move on to North Island but the disturbed westerly airstream is likely to continue over the South of South Island. Later in the week a shallow trough is expected to move north east over New Zealand. Forecast: Cloudy and showery periods. Clearing on Tuesday and fresh westerlies becoming light. Wednesday and Thursday North westerlies developing bringing cold patches. Further showers developing on Friday.
