NEW SKI LODGE OPENS

Ohakune's new Sunshine Ski Lodge in Miro Park was officially opened at the weekend. The lodge is being developed and marketed by local businessman Mr John Woods, publisher of the Waimarino Bulletin. He says construction is due to be completed over the next fortnight and already his company has sold 15 shares in the public company which owns the lodge. Mr Woods expects a further 20 shares priced at $7500 each to sell during the remainder of the ski season. Sunshine is being marketed along the lines of timeshare but with no restriction on the amount of time people can stay. The lodge has cost almost $400,000 to develop. It has seven bedrooms sleeping 27 people.
