Situation: A complex depression lies from east to west across the North Island and should lose intensity on Wednesday as it moves slowly away to the east. A moist easterly airstream flows to south of low. On Friday another depression is expected to move onto NZ from the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Areas of rain at first with fresh south easterlies. Rain becoming scattered during Tuesday. Fine on Wednesday and Thursday. North westerlies and showers developing on Fridav.
