Standby organisation here for home help

The Standby organisation has been set up to provide help to anyone who is under stress or for any reason, needs help with housework, childmind-

ing or care of the elder ly. A call for help is answered within a few hours, with Standby sending a helper. Standby charges for

their help and this charge has now been reduced to $3 per hour. The helpers are caring, sympathetic people who have had children themselves and re-

alise what a special job being a mother is and how important it is for mum to always feel on top of the world. The Waimarino region is fortunate in having the services of a very experienced Karitane Nurse. Standby would

like to assist anybody who uses her services and to assist with her very heavy work load. Ways which Standby can help you: reading to elderly folk; collecting mail or papers for someone not feeling well; assisting those

recovering from operations, especially the elderly or invalid; childminding and babysitting; light household duties for anyone not feeling up to it; offering time out for mothers. Please phone 54-526 or 54-

095 any time. Leslie Proude has finished her holiday and is now available for her Karitane work in the Waimarino. She was not to be away for the month of July as was reported in last week*s Bulletin.
