Sunday's Waimarino Golf Club competition was sponsored b y McLean's Bookshop and K.G. Bennett Ltd. The annual president's versus captain's teams event took place with the president's team winning 5.5 to 4.5. Individual results were as follows: Senior - 1st T. Tapp 71 nett, 2nd P. Goldfinch 72 nett, 3 rd R. Pearson and G. Allerby 73 nett. Junior - 1st N. Clarke 73 nett, 2nd J. Hammond 76 nett, 3rd G. Price 79 nett. Two's P. Goldfinch No. 17. Senior Birdsnest won by P . Goldfinch. Next Sunday the pennant's team will be competing a t Mangamahu.
