TIME FOR A TOP IDEA?
In a recent edition of a provincial daily paper it was reported that King Country Electric Power Board member Ian Strachan suggested a town clock might be put on top of the big carrot or that Mt Ruapehu might be a possible site. "Gossip" assumes either the newspaper or Mr Strachan is joking, surely a clock on top of our kitsch carrot would be a bit much, and who but hardy climbers would be able to read the clock face if it were perched on the summit of our mountain?
