Chef is own boss
Nobby's Restaurant new 'Chef de Cuisine' Paul Minnell, is no stranger to diversity. Paul is a multifaceted chef with considerable talent when it comes to preparing a scrumptious repast. His resume includes French, Italian, Mexican, Indonesian, European and Lebanese cooking; but his speciality is sweet and savoury sauces. Paul spent several years cooking in restaurants and with catering firms in Wanganui. Nobby's Restaurant is his first sole-
charge position and according to Paul, being his own boss is great! The position h e says, lets him experiment with new dishes and sauces. Paul has already added his own touch to the restaurant's menu. Dishes with tantilising names like 'Amigo's Choice' and 'That Camp Site Memory' stir diners' imaginations and their appetites. Paul is keen to make the best of both worlds, skiing Mt Ruapehu by day and cooking up a storm at the restaurant by night.
