SNOW IN

Snow fell at Waiouru yesterday. Not surprising, with temperatures of +2 experienced at around midday. Meteorological officer John Standish said yesterday morning's cairn, cold conditions were conducive to snow. Snow began falling shortly after 12pm but failed to settle and had stopped by 1.30pm.
