Thanks from ATI to the area

The following letter was received from the tutor in charge of the Auckland Technical Institute journalism class that recently visited the Waimarino. Though addressed personally to Bulletin publisher John Woods, the letter is printed here because the success of the week-long exercise is also attributable to people in the community who were our news sources. During the week, the students wrote more than 90 news stories. Dear John, Just a note to say many thanks for the great week you gave my students and me on our field trip. The students were on the greatest "high" I've ever seen a group in such circumstances, and that made me feel really good. To cap it all, your generosity and the helpfulness of all your staff was really something. Regards, Geoff Black.
