GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS
Situation: Until Saturday 21. A Souwest flow covers NZ but on Tuesday a ridge should cross the country followed by a north west flow. During Wednesday, Thursday and Friday a trough should move slowly northwards over NZ followed by a cold south easterly airstream and giving a period of rain in most places. Forecast: Fresh or strong westerlies and showers cjearing on Tuesday and winds easing. Milder north westerlies on Wednesday and Thursday. Rain developing late Thursday easing to showers on Friday and winds turning to colder south easterlies.
