Fun calendar from Whakapapa
Skiers visiting Whakapapa this year will have a lot to entertain them besides skiing. Ruapehu Alpine Lifts are planning a series of on-mountain events and promotions to compliment the skiing. Included int he fun will be a: champagne breakfast, hot toddy apres ski party, Crater Lake picnic, a visit from Cookie Bear and obstacle race, treasure hunt for the children, fund days and the usual ski racing. "Skiing is a fun activity," says Scott Lee, Marketing Manager for RAL. "We are endeavouring to encourage more people to come up and enjoy the magnificence of Tongariro National park in winter." A calendar of the planned events will be published prior to the ski season.
