A ROAD TAX ON HORSES?
Strange goings on out at Rangataua: Sue Allomes of Ruapehu Outback Adventures has admitted to driving around the township with a horse size pooper scooper, picking up her horse trekker animals' street deposits. Apparently she does it as a public relations exercise so her operation won't upset the locals. Though it would seem she has a hard job convincing some Rangataua residents that ROA is OK. She has had one complaint that the horses shoes are wearing out the road! Perhaps they should be fitted with shankometers for a road tax. Or what if Sue trained the horses to walk on tip toes so as to minimise the dreadful damage?
