PIGLET TROTS AROUND
Remember the last line of that old nursery rhyme, "And this little piggy went wee, wee, wee all the way home?" Well, this was certainly the case for Ohakune piglet Billy Bush recently. Billy's owners were shifting house, so decided that the best place for their little pet was with friends down the road. But, unbeknown to the owners, Billy took a particular shine to the other three piglets he was boarding with. So much so that, when he was returned to his owners, the intrepid little piglet decided he liked it better with his adopted "family". The next morning, he was found with his friends - having "trotted" the two kilometres to be with them. But, unlike the nursery rhyme, Billy's tale has a happier ending. His owners say he's now back with them, and is settling well into his new home. BY SHARON STEPHENSON
