Pets in public eye this week
Poodles, pussies, ponies, parrots, perch and even pachyderms are in the pubiic eye this week. They are the stars of the, 1988 Vetmark National Pet Week. Pet Week is a joint promotion between the Vetmark organisation, which represents 85 per
cent of New Zealand's veterinarians, and the NZ Community Newspaper Association, of which this newspaper is a member. The main focal point for Pet Week is the full page feature in this issue which has two competitions for children, and information
on how to obtain both a free petcare tabloid newspaper plus a free poster-calendar. In addition, owners are able to get their pet's teeth checked for free, as part of Pet Week activities. Pet owners are encouraged to phone their Vetmark vet for an appointment to get the free check.
