First meeting for National Party
The first meeting of the year for the committee of the local Ohakune-Raetihi Branch of the New Zealand National Party was held recently. President Ian Enright chaired the meeting. Committee members present were: Messrs R. Godfrey, D. Bennett, G. Dillon, A. McGregor and Mesdames J. Godfrey and M. Wright. Topics discussed were a visit by the local member of parliament Mr Jim Bolger; remits to go to the annual King Country Electoral Meeting held this year at Inglewood in April; the future prosperity of the district of Waimarino; the annual social function with gucst speakers yet to be arrangcd. President Ian reported that the National party was alive.and well and
looking forward to 1990. Enquiries can be directed to any committee member.
