Recent rugby

The Raetihi Rugby Senior team entered two teams into the Wanganui Referees Association seven a side tournament at Spriggens Park recently. Twenty-seven teams entered in the tournament including several first division club teams. The Raetihi Team Two (green). finished third equal behind Wanganui High School Old Boys

(first) and Black Attack (second). The stronger Team One (gold), which included Steve Gordon, worked as a team knocking some of the stronger teams out and clearing the way for Team Two. Steve Gordon was named captain of the Wanganui team to represent Wanganui at Pukekohe for the weekend March 5 and 6.
