Craig Greenwood

Craig Greenwood's business record reads like that of a young entrepreneur. He started in business just three years ago because he didn't want to stay on wages. Today he has three businesses with his sights set on a good deal of growth. From the early days as an agricultural contractor, specialising in cropping and market gardening work, he branched out by starting "Flash Trash" 12 months later. That move won him rubbish

collection contracts from the Ohakune Borough Council and Winstones, and today he collects all of the town's trash as well as operating a transportable bin business. Then he bought a carrying company off Raetihi businessman Neil McLean. With that base he has now expanded into furniture removals and he has the door-to-door rail freight and Speedlink parcel contracts for the district together with Benchmark's timber cartage contract. Craig, born and bred locally, has spent all

of his life in the Waimarino apart from a year touring the world. He is a keen skier. His Ohakune business is "just a starting point" and eventually he wants to move into commercial property. His parents Elwin and Ann Greenwood, have a farm and market g arden in Old Soldiers Rd. Craig has a young brother currently i n Hawke's Bay and two older sisters, Alison Anderson, a speech therapist at Ohakune Primary School, and Penny Clarke, a pharmacist in Hamilton.
